The Azusa Pacific University Masterworks Chorale and jazz artist, J. Michael O'Neal, in partnership with First Baptist Church of Glendale, present a Black History Month Concert in Glendale on Saturday, February 8 at 7:00 PM. This concert is free, and the concert venue is the historic sanctuary of First Baptist Church located at 209 N. Louise Street, Glendale, CA 91206.
The Masterworks Chorale is an 80-voiced choir, and the guest artists is renowned jazz pianist, J. Michael O'Neal. Tributes to Jessye Norman, Jester Hairston, and Robert Ray will be a part of the concert, and the music of the evening features spirituals, jazz piano, choral music, and Gospel hymns accompanied by a Hammond B-3 Organ and the historic 72-rank Estey Pipe Organ.
