Church Leadership

Rev. Andy Quient has been pastoring with American Baptist Churches since 1996 and has enjoyed positions in youth ministry, church planting, and other pastoral assignments. After completing six years on our region board, he enjoyed the role of resource minister for our congregations in Orange and San Diego counties. Concurrently, he shepherded the congregation of First Baptist Church of Santa Ana and hosted a live radio broadcast for nine years on the local ESPN sports station, Angel’s Radio, AM830. Before that, Andy left a highly successful career in international sales and management for a life in ministry and hasn’t looked back. As a former elite executive trainer, he now has a passion for seeing his fellow ministers communicate effectively with the love of God. His philosophy of ministry centers around John 10:10. His deep desire is to see people live the abundant life that God has promised. He graduated summa cum laude from Talbot School of Theology. A native Californian, Andy, and his wife of 41 years, Lisa, reside in Seal Beach, though he has lived in Australia, Hawaii, Tennessee, Minnesota, and Utah. They have four incredible daughters (they admit to being biased), who have blessed them with three of the world’s best grandsons (no bias whatsoever).
